Video Presentation by Bo Hanson, 4x Olympian and Coaching Consultant
The ideal outcome for communication in sport is a shared level of understanding, in sport and in life. In this video Bo Hanson looks at the communication process, specifically in the sporting context. This process involves constructing a message, deciding your goal, choosing the pitch to transmit the message, ensuring there are no barriers to communication, sending the message and ensuring it is received.
If you are a coach your outcome could be anything from the whole team understanding a tactical change, to a specific behavioral change with one player. This video also looks at the fact that it is not only what you are communicating which you need to be aware of, but also how you are communicating.
