This page and section of the website is currently being renovated. Please excuse the current state but we have left the information for reference. Contact us if you have any inquiries.
Understanding what brings an athlete to practice (and competition) and what they are trying to accomplish once they get there is critical to coaching them to be the best they can be. It also makes your job easier and more enjoyable in bringing together a winning program!
What works for each individual athlete is unique to them. A coach’s primary challenge is to understand what makes their players ‘tick’ and coaching them accordingly. Today, coaches are expected to know how to effectively read the signs and pick up the clues as to what motivates their athletes to bring out the best in them and the squad or team as a whole.
This workshop covers effective coaching strategies that get the best results with different styles of athletes. Find out why you find some athletes are easier to coach than others and how to get through to the more ‘challenging’ players in your program. This knowledge not only makes you more effective but more satisfied in your coaching role.
The key learning objectives for session participants are:
- Discover the most effective model for understanding what motivates your athletes and yourself.
- Develop strategies to appeal to the different styles of athletes you coach.
- Create an environment designed to achieve the best performance from each individual athlete and improve team chemistry.
